Sweeny ISD is proposing a $42 million bond to address distinct areas of need, including construction, improvements, and equipment for our athletic stadium facilities, districtwide school building improvements, a new field house, and renovation to our gymnasium facilities. If approved at the May 4, 2024 election, this will NOT INCREASE THE TAX RATE for Sweeny ISD taxpayers.

 

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Sweeny ISD tax rate has been the same since 2007 and is the 2nd lowest tax rate in Brazoria County.

The $42 million proposition can be accomplished within the curent tax rate, meaning there will be NO TAX RATE INCREASE for Sweeny ISD taxpayers. 

The total tax rate is $1.1003 per $100 of appraised value, wich is the second lowest  of all school districts in Brazoria County.
