Proposed Projects
With the passage of the Sweeny ISD 2024 Bond by voters, Sweeny ISD would allocate these funds to address distinct areas of need, including construction, improvements, and equipment for our athletic stadium facilities, districtwide school building improvements, a new field house, and renovation to our gymnasium facilities.
Texas school districts do not receive state funding for renovating or building new schools. Instead, they must receive funds through school bond elections. Registered voters residing within Sweeny ISD boundaries will be asked to consider a bond proposition that would generate funding for the 2024 Sweeny ISD Bond to address distinct areas of need and district improvements.
