Building the Future

The SISD Education Foundation was founded in 2003. The mission of the Sweeny ISD Education Foundation is to cultivate partnerships with the community to provide funding that inspires excellence, promotes innovation, and supports quality learning experiences for all students in Sweeny ISD.

Bright Minds Grant

Bright Minds Grant Priorities
  • Fund special projects or items to help SISD meet its academic goals. These projects or items must be one-time Foundation funding opportunities that will not generate recurring Foundation funding obligations.

  • Recognize and reward (i.e., teachers, campuses, and programs) for innovative and creative academic approaches.
  • Provide funding to encourage and refine supplementary academic methods that impact learning beyond the traditional classroom approach.
Bright Minds Grant Goals

As a community, we owe a great debt of gratitude to the educators at Sweeny ISD. Their contributions to the lives and futures of our children cannot be overstated. It's important to recognize that being a teacher is a challenging and demanding profession, but the dedication and tireless efforts of these educators are truly inspiring. Through their commitment to education, they are making a significant difference in the lives of students and helping to shape a brighter future for all. We are proud to support and advocate for our educators, and encourage others to join us in this important endeavor.

SISD Staff Appreciation

Appreciation Gifts and Events

  • Provide a gift at Convocation to warmly welcome and motivate Sweeny ISD faculty and staff for the new school year.
  • The Top 10% Honors Luncheon allows the graduating Top 10% students to honor the Sweeny ISD faculty and staff members who have significantly impacted their educational journey.
  • Recognize and reward Sweeny ISD faculty and staff quarterly with treats and meals throughout the school year.
