Operations

The Department of Operations is composed of over 80 employees. We maintain nearly 500,000 square feet of building space and over 50 acres of property. We operate and maintain equipment, including 23 school buses, 10 fleet vehicles, 5 maintenance trucks, and 3 police vehicles. We transport approximately 1,000 students each school day.

Our school cafeterias serve approximately 1,750 meals each day. Our district comprises the Sweeny ISD Administration Building, Sweeny High School, Sweeny Junior High, Sweeny Elementary, Sweeny ISD Maintenance and Transportation Warehouses, and three stadiums with turf fields. The Department of Operations is an integral part of the Sweeny ISD professional team and a vital link in our commitment to Sweeny ISD being the Pride of Sweeny and the District of Choice.
