Operations
The Department of Operations includes more than 80 employees who help maintain and support Sweeny ISD’s facilities, transportation, and daily operations. We maintain nearly 500,000 square feet of building space and more than 50 acres of property. Our team operates and maintains a variety of equipment, including 23 school buses, 10 fleet vehicles, 5 maintenance trucks, and 3 police vehicles. We transport approximately 1,000 students each school day.
Our school cafeterias serve approximately 1,750 meals each day. Sweeny ISD’s facilities include the Administration Building, Sweeny High School, Sweeny Junior High, Sweeny Elementary, the Maintenance and Transportation Warehouses, and three stadiums with turf fields.
The Department of Operations is an integral part of the Sweeny ISD professional team and a vital link in our commitment to being the Pride of Sweeny and the District of Choice.
