Message from the Superintendent

Dear Sweeny ISD Community,

This is Daniel Fuller, Superintendent at Sweeny ISD. I want to welcome you and your family into the 22-23 school year, and I look forward to the amazing things we will accomplish. I want to share with you a few highlights:

First, the 21-22 Texas Education Agency Accountability ratings were released, and I am proud to share that Sweeny ISD has scored as a ‘B’ district overall and has shown growth in 75% of the scored areas.

Second, school safety is at the forefront of SISD’s priorities. Our campus and security personnel have worked diligently to update our security protocols and safety procedures this summer. Please feel free to visit with our administrators, police officers, and front office personnel if you have any questions. We also will be hosting a Safety and Security Public Forum Thursday, September 1st at 6:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria. The purpose of this Public Forum is to solicit feedback from the community regarding opportunities and concerns related to school safety for our Safety & Security Committee to provide recommendations that are representative of all Sweeny ISD Stakeholders.

Thirdly, to provide a safe environment and to support our district’s student organizations, I would like to remind you that no outside food or drinks will be permitted at extracurricular events hosted by Sweeny ISD.

Lastly, Sweeny ISD is excited to announce our newly approved Classroom Teacher/Nurse/Paraprofessional Substitute daily rates, which are highly competitive compared to surrounding school districts.

As Superintendent and parent of four Sweeny ISD students, I am thankful for our positive and supportive community. I will utilize a systematic approach to needs assessment and allocation of resources as the main drivers of student success. I look forward to serving the Sweeny ISD students, staff, and community. On behalf of our SISD School Board, we invite you to partner with us as we work diligently to provide every student in Sweeny ISD with the best education possible. We wish you a safe and blessed school year. GO BULLDOGS!

Warm regards,

Daniel Fuller
