Returning Student Registration
returning Inter- district transfer students
If your student was an Out of District Transfer for the 2025-2026 school year and still resides out of district, you must apply and receive an Inter-District Transfer approval for the 2026-2027 school year before completing the returning student registration.Online registration access will open on July 13, 2026.
Parents need to go to Skyward Family Access to review current information and complete required annual questionnaires through the Skyward Family Access Portal.
The following documents must be returned to the campus to complete registration:
- Proof of residency- Electricity, gas, water, or on property propane bill. This documentation must be current and dated within 30 days of registration.
- An immunization record, if it has changed or the student is entering the 7th grade.
- Notification of other pertinent health records for your child, i.e. Diabetic, Asthma, Dietary restrictions, etc.
- Copy of registering parent/guardian's state issued ID.

Inter-district transfer students

If your child is new to the district and you do not have a Skyward Family Access account, parents need to click the button below to create a new account. You must provide an email address to receive the account information.
If parents already have a Skyward Family Access account, click the button below to begin the enrollment process.
The following information is needed to register as a new student at Sweeny Independent School District:
- Social Security Card
- State certified birth certificate
- Current immunization records
- Records from your last school attended (if applicable)
- Photo ID of parent enrolling the student

Inter-District Transfers
Transfers are approved for one school year only. All students must reapply each year. Transfer approval does not guarantee future approval for the next school year.
All completed 2026-2027 school year applications MUST be submitted online for approval. All applications will be considered based on the following factors; Attendance, Discipline, Staffing Capabilities, and Academic Achievements.
Completion of the Inter-District Transfer Application does not automatically enroll your student. Completion of Registration is also required when enrollment opens on 07/13/2026.
