Sweeny ISD School Board Meeting Procedure
In an effort to respect the time of our guests and those that are being recognized, Sweeny ISD Board Meetings will be conducted in the following manner beginning at 6:00 pm:
- Call to Order
- Invocation
- Pledges
- Recognitions
- Communications from the Public
At the conclusion of Communications from the Public, the board will enter into Executive Session. Following the Executive Session, the board will enter into an Open Session for business to be conducted and action taken when needed.
Due to a recent incident involving inappropriate and unauthorized disruption during a publicly accessible Zoom session, the school board has made the decision to discontinue live public Zoom access to our meetings.
To ensure the safety, security, and integrity of our proceedings—while still maintaining transparency—we will now record all meetings and post them promptly to the district website (www.sweenyisd.org) for public viewing. We remain committed to open communication and public engagement. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
