Candidate Eligibility Requirements
The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven positions. The seven trustees serve staggered three-year terms. All SISD residents who meet eligibility requirements specified in Board Policy (BBALEGAL) may run for a position in the Board of Trustee election. Three board positions will be up for election in May 2026. (Positions 1, 5 and 7)
The first day to file for a place on the General Election ballot is on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Candidate Application and Candidate Information Packets will be available for pick up Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 7:30am

The District will accept applications on regular business days from Wednesday, January 14, 2026 through Thursday, February 12, 2026 (Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm) and on Friday, February 13, 2026 until 5:00pm.
Applications must be received by Friday, February 13, 2026 by 5:00pm.
